Hi, I'm Nolan. I'm a passionate Unreal Engine developer with over two years of experience and a recent Game Programming grad.
My journey started on a beat up Nintendo 64 and my love for gaming grew from there. I always wondered how games worked, how developers created massive open worlds, complex quest lines, and how NPCs knew how to fight back (especially those Elites in Halo 2, the white ones on Legendary mode that never seemed to die).
During my undergrad in Computer Science, after learning a bit of programming, I decided to find out for myself and give game dev a try. After a few YouTube videos and online courses on Unreal Engine I was hooked. I continued college with an M.S in Game Programming and spent my free time (when not playing games) working on projects, both small solo ones and larger group projects over Discord.
I believe that games offer a unique opportunity to not only tell stories, but put people in them. My goal is to help bring these stories to life by creating tools that streamline workflows, implmenting gameplay systems to expand the gameplay experience, and build clean UI's that players want to use.

After finishing school I started appying to every open position in game development I could find. With very little luck so far. The job market is tough right now, especially for people with no experience. So, while looking for that first position, why not freelance on the side? Hence, Owera Software Supply. The name comes from Owera Point Road, a street on the north end of Cazenovia Lake. I spent a lot of time there with when I was young and still live in Cazenovia today.
I believe in a transparent and honest development process, where projects are developed to meet specification without compromise. From initial planning to final delivery, I strive to build the best tools, gameplay systems, and user interfaces possible. I approach every task--whether it's a small utility plugin or a foundational gameplay feature--with the same level of dedication and attention to detail.
